Brush up on your runway skills and maybe even learn a few new tricks just in time for Austin Fashion Week! Two sessions will be offered, each 1 hour and 15 minutes. You may chose to participate in either or both sessions. There is no designated skill difference between sessions. Male and female models welcome.

Brianna is the founder and CEO of ButterFly Entertainment and ButterFly Models. She has been a self-represented model since 2004. She has graced the run way for Marie Claire Magazine, Maggie Sottero, Carson Couture, and Austin Fashion Week, among others. In 2011, Brianna won Industry Choice Best Model and Best Female Runway Model at Austin Fashion Week.

*Will there be an opportunity to gain recognition to participate in future modeling events?
-Yes! ButterFly Entertainment produces numerous fashion events throughout the year and manages up and coming talent in our model management division, ButterFly Models. Our talent scouts will be on the look out!
*Am I required to go out and purchase every item listed in the Model Kit pamphlet received?
-No. This is an outline of helpful items for a model to carry to shoots and events.
*Am I required to sign a model release form to participate?
- Yes. We plan to take photos from the clinic to add to our Facebook page from the event and this releases ButterFly Entertainment from any liability if you fall off of your heels!
*What is the age group for the clinic?
-You must be 14 years old to attend. Participants under 18 are recommended to bring a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit.

Austin Fashion Week and Fleming's Steakhouse are joining together to benefit The Arc of the Capital Area nonprofit by hosting a fashion show lunch.
The lunch will start at noon and should last until about 2 p.m.
Guests will get to enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch (appetizer, Cobb salad with chicken or beef, and dessert) with wine pairings provided by Cameron Hughes. During the lunch, attendees will be treated to a fashion show with looks provided by local downtown retailers Blue Elephant, DuO, Langford Market, and Luxe Apothetique. Emceeing the event will be Bettie Cross of KEYE.
Prizes generously donated by various sponsors will also be raffled off. Raffle tickets will cost $10 each or $50 for 7 tickets.
Tickets are priced at $35 with $30 of that going straight to The Arc of the Capital Area.

Ruth Waddy, a native Texan, has recently relocated in Austin, after a decade in Portland, OR. Here, she is developing her lines, "Ruth" and "Ruthless". Both incorporate recycled fabric, plastic, and rubber. "Ruth" offers cocktail and wedding dresses, while "Ruthless" focuses on street wear and accessories with an edge. She combines her love of fashion and recycling, in the launch of both collections reusing bicycle inner tubes like leather with intricate hand cut appliqué work.
A featured designer in Austin Fashion Week she will be debuting her “Ruthless” line in a designer reception and trunk show at Austin Rocks.
Her wedding couture will also be featured in the runway show.
She earned her degree in Costume Design from San Antonio's Trinity University; and has collaborated with theatre companies, individuals, and contemporary artists throughout the United States. Most notably, she costumed a performance for the 2008 Whitney Biennial.

Twelve-year-old fashion designer, Jessica Faith Marshall, will host an Austin Fashion Week runway show, Timeless Style Runway, at the North Lamar Central Market location downtown Austin on August 11th. She will showcase her fashion line, J. Designs Fashions’ fall/winter 2012 collection. Also showcasing is Austin’s Barbara Humphrey for Custom Fashions By Barbara and Laisa Macias for LaLa. WC Clark, legendary Austin blues artist, will be featured as well. During the Timeless Style Runway show, there will be a variety of fashion designs, electronic music, a DJ, food samplers, and plenty of entertainment.
Make your way down to Gallery D the evening of Saturday, August 11th from 7 to 9 pm and celebrate our newest collaboration with us, vintage by JACKNBOOTS! Indulge in this FREE event and experience a night of runway shows, bands, vintage threads from Elephas Maximus and delicious refreshments by local purveyors such as Hopfields, Pop+Cycle and more. Reaching the height of fashion, Austin Fashion Week concludes with the Austin Fashion Awards at Austin Music Hall on Saturday, August 18. Rising Stars, Trailblazers, and Mash Up Teams will be recognized with the coveted Golden Boot Award. Between awards presentations, check out runway shows from high profile Austin-based designers, plus, a globally celebrated designer who speaks to the Austin market. The ever-popular Mash Up Teams comprised of a local apparel designer, accessories designer, photographer, hairstylist, makeup artist, and model will also move to the Austin Fashion Awards catwalk.
Austin Fashion Awards tickets are included in VIP Packages & Badges. Individual tickets are available for $60. Student tickets may be purchased at the door the day of the event based on availability for $20 (cash only). MUST SHOW A VALID STUDENT ID.
NOTE: Awards tickets are seated based on levels. VIP seats are closest to the stage, followed by Badges. Finally, general admission tickets will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis behind Badge-holders.
Spectra: The Finale is the Official Austin Fashion Week VIP After Party unlike anything Austin has ever seen before.
Guests are presented with exquisitely costumed models in LED Fabrics, state of the art video projection mapping, fiber-optic threads, living statue installations, and fashion inspired light sculptures - all the result of an intense fusion of cutting edge fashion and mind bending lighting techniques.
Of course, all of this should be expected from a collaboration between renowned custom lighting design artist Wes Lane and his partner Jayne Farrell, the team of interactive event designers at Clever Maven, Blanca Urano and her award winning team of hair stylists at Waterstone Salon, celebrated eco-designer Rene Geneva, and the eccentric fashion visionary from San Francisco himself - Topher Adam.
